As a civil engineering structure, steel structure is widely used in the field of housing construction, bridge structure, construction support and other engineering fields in China.
This course is a compulsory course for the basic course platform of the undergraduate stage of architectural engineering. It is a practical course with mechanics as the core and engineering application as the purpose. This course mainly teaches the characteristics of steel structure, the scope of application and design method, the material of steel structure, the connection method and calculation method of steel structure, the calculation of the strength and stiffness of axial force members, the stability of axial compression members, and the bending members strength and stiffness calculation and stabilization, strength and stiffness calculation and stabilization of tension, bending and compression members.
Through the implementation of classroom teaching and exercise explanations in this course, students can use their knowledge to understand the scientific research, design and construction of steel structures, and apply the previously learned knowledge to actual projects.
